Teaching and Discipleship

Who Am I Becoming?
This is a one-of-a-kind 11 week Christian formation learning experience.

Who Am I Becoming? It’s a good question. But it’s a question that doesn’t often get the time it deserves.
It’s a perennial question that needs to be considered in every age and stage of our lives.
Who we are becoming will always be connected to the stories of our lives. Stories that need to be told, retold, and processed. These narratives, and the words that have been spoken over us, need to be challenged to discern if they’re true. As we listen to these words again, we have an invitation to deeply receive them or definitively reject them.
This is good work for the soul. It impacts everything we do, every relationship we have, and every goal we set. It’s a work of our present that is influenced by our past and brings clarity of purpose to our future.

Nancy teaches this curriculum both in-person and online.

The Parables of Jesus

Parables are a "lens that allows us to see the truth and to correct distorted vision." This year we will learn from Jesus' Parables of Grace and Responsibility, Parables of Lostness, Parables of the Present Kingdom, and Parables about Discipleship, and more. Come! Listen to Jesus tell stories. Together we will seek to receive his
life-giving challenge to see clearly and to live accordingly!

The Beatitudes
Becoming who God created us to be requires more than a self-determined, try-harder grit.
Jesus shows us the way to this good goal for the soul.  We need the Potter's hands on the clay of our hearts and
minds so that the whole of our lives bears an unmistakable likeness to the One who formed us.
Beautiful Sayings, Hard Words: The Beatitudes is a nine-week encounter with the familiar and challenging words of Jesus from Matthew 5. When, with courage, these are taken in and allowed to mess with our status quo,
God's transforming touch will be surprisingly and gloriously evident among his people as we
continue to become who He created us to be.
