One-With-One Spiritual Direction
Soul Care Companions believes that spiritual direction is “attentive, prayerful watching and listening with another for the grace gifts of God.”
Nancy is my Spiritual Director. Through her administration of God's grace, I am more fully available to His sanctifying presence in my life. In my relationship with Nancy I feel heard, appreciated, loved. I experience Nancy's genuine interest and excitement in seeing me, spending time with me, hearing about my life and what is going on with me. When we talk, she is able to see through the circumstances and emotions in my life that are confusing to me. From a position of insight she offers me a new point of focus, and sometimes prescriptive practical direction. When I move forward with Nancy's offered point of focus I renew my sense of peace and experience God's presence, affection and care for me more deeply. The prescriptive practices are often creative in nature and lead to me feeling more whole and less fragmented, more fulfilled and less conflicted.
